While it should not be imposed, one would hope that the Court is not stacked with one political view. At the present, the powers that be pick 'ethnic' tyoes they disagree with the masses of their group. We are truly screwed.

In a perfect world racial/ethnic diversity would be so prevalent as to be unremarkable. Until then, we must do what can be done to promote equality and diversity.

nope, the US Supreme Court Justices are appointed by the president, Hopefully the President chooses whomever is most qualified for the job, (not the case with this president) not what ethnic group need representation.

isnt it more important to have qualified people then to have token members?

I think diversity is a good thing but not when it comes at the expense of everything else.

if possible, yes...but most qualified should be most important
