Hikaru Utada herself sings "Sanctuary"--she spent much of her youth in the U.S., and sings and speaks English flawlessly (she even released an American album a couple of years ago, which unfortunately flopped; under the stage name "Cubic U," she also released an album in the U.S. back when she was fourteen or fifteen, which also evidently didn't get much notice). I read somewhere that she actually initially wrote "Sanctuary" in English before coming up with the Japanese lyrics to what then became "Passion."

"Passion" and "Sanctuary," as you may know, are the theme songs for the video game Kingdom Hearts 2 (the Japanese and English versions, respectively). Hikki did the same thing for the first Kingdom Hearts, writing and performing "Hikari" for the Japanese version of the game and rewriting and rerecording the song as "Simple and Clean" for the English version of the game.
