So why do so many people live in a fantasy world?

Because it's easier. In a fantasy you can control everything and be anyone. For some people fantasies are the only place where they can be who they wish they were in real life. In real life you have consider other people and different circumstances that might stand in your way of getting what you want. But I do agree with you on that reality is better..

because people want to escape reality....sometimes they are in love and forget the other person is married (happened to me)....and they might not like their reality so they try and change it...or they change their views on it to the point that they are no longer living in reality
people don't often try to live in a fantasy world...it just sort of happens...the hard part is realizing it and getting back into reality....sometimes fantasy worlds make people feel better

not true some people let fantasy become reality like how some mates like to fanisize about ...wel you know what i mean
so not all fantasy dont become reality!

yes thats true ... but fantasy lets our imagination flow off ... its a strong medium to do wat v want deep in the heart ... though it sometimes is harmful ... thus the thing is that v must strike balance b/w reality and fantasy ..
