They all suck. But my order of nastiness would probably be -

1) Nuking Japan
2) Iraq War
3) Torturing muslims
4) Secret Prisons
5) Exposing CIA counter-terrorism agent Plame to the press.
6)Spying on Americans

Edited to add - Whistler's answer is funny. It's like the kind of political beliefs Yosemite Sam would have.

I would say: Secret prisons. This is because when one survives a secret prison, it is almost impossible for him or her to write a book and lecture about his or her experience, because people are interested in hearing and reading about something they understand and events they know about their whereabouts. As far as nuking Japan is concerned, President Truman did it only during the war. After the war he didn't even threaten other states with neclear weapon, though at his time the USA was the only neclear power. This is the difference between him and the Father, the Son and Peyronie's disease. The Japs, though, didn't learn the lesson-they detained Bobby Fischer. As far as torturing people is concerned: It is cruel to torture anyone, weather a Muslim, a Serb or anyone alse.

Dropping atomic weapons on Japan saved hundreds of thousands of Americans and millions of Japanese because it made an invasion of Japan unnecessary. It was an angelic mission of mercy. Remember, the USA rebuilt Japan and now Japan has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Nobody in Japan today would want to be in the Imperial Japan pre-WW II at the heighth of Japanese power.

The US isn't tortuing Muslims. It is killing/capturing non-Muslim terrorists who abuse/hijack Islam.

The US doesn't spy on its own people. It is trying to discover terrorists who have infiltrated the US.

There are no secret prisons. We know about Guantanimo Bay. The prisoners there are terrorists.

The Iraq War was justified. Hussein was a murderous dictator.

So your question has fallen flat.

What about the Internment Camps formed in the United States, where thousands of Japanese-American citizens had the property taken away, and were moved into these camps?

The conditions were crowded, and very bad, and Japanese families lost everything they owned. A 2nd generation (Nissei) were, however, allowed to fight for the U.S., while their families suffered in the internment camps.

Bill W - so basically what you're saying is, 'We're Americans - whatever we do is right, no matter how many people we hurt."

Well, that attitude is what's got us at the top of every terrorist organization's sh!t list. Good thinking.

Nuking Japan shouldn't be on the list. This was a necessary act to end a bloody, devastating war that was destined to get bloodier and more devastating had it continued. Casualty estimates for an invasion of the Japanese mainland were at over one million Allied troops KIA for that operation.

As for the rest -- all equally despicable.

f) Having overly liberals laws
g) Not punishing criminals severely to deter future crimes.
h) Poeple who blindly follow the liberal media

Nuking Japan was a response to Pearl Harbor and brought about a quick end to WWII. Had Germany developed the bomb first they would have nuked London. Had Japan developed it they would have nuked SF or LA. Torturing known terrorists and their supporters is acceptable to me. Spying on Americans is acceptable provided it is within legal and reasonable channels. Secret prisons are acceptable since modern times require new measures to overcome overly liberal laws. The Iraq war ousted a brutal dictator and is bringing democracy to the middle east.

Your multiple choice question is a survey. Yahoo has a category for polls and surveys. This is category is for current events. The atomic bombing of Japan is not a current event.
