for the first day you should dress up a little but, but don't go over board. I would suggest a cute pair of jeans and an awesome shirt,stay away from the over-sized t-shirts though. I found some shirts at wet-seal that would be great for the first day of school. you should check it out. if you want to wear a skirt make sure it's just above your knee, not much higher.

Look like you just came back from a tropical vacation! If you have light skin, purchase Neutrogena's micro mist tanning spray, which you only spray on, no need to rub in. Wear a long bohemian style skirt with a cute tank or T. Pair it with some fun beach-inspired accessories. I like Breezy Beach Wear. You can shop them online at www.breezybeachwear.com. What grade are you in? What's your style? Please write some details so we can answer your question better. But your best bet is to go with something that catches your eye when you are out shopping. If you like it, just keep doing the same thing until you have the clothes that you need. Or just casually ask people you see where they got their clothes, if you like the things they are wearing. Don't stress too much, and have fun!

Wear clothes. Jeans and a t-shirt is generally a good idea. Plus, who really cares what someone wears on the first day?

Just wear something that you feel cool and comfortable in. You'll probably already be stressing over where your next class is, getting to classes on time, etc. that you probably don't want to worry about the fact that you are too hot or you're not at all comfortable in your clothes

wear what makes you comfortable and pretty. But most important to confidence is that your prepared for school itself with the right books, supplies, etc. With both these your first day should go smoothly and confidently.
