No. Bollywood movies are some of the most beautiful romances that I have ever seen. They are tender, heartwrenching and sweet. Hollywood makes fine movies that include special effects, but they really suck at making family friendly movies. Each industry has it's strenght and romantic films are bollywood's strength. Hong Kong does better action films than anyone else. Hollywood blows up stuff. I watch a lot of different cinema's because I enjoy different films.

No way! but then again maybe i am only saying that because i am a fan of Bollywood movies. ok sure some of them are a bit cheesy and the acting is terrible but the same thing can be said about some Hollywood movies. I don't think it is a case of inferiority, its just about what you like. And personally, i though the Bollywood film i went to watch last night (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna) was brilliant! (and so was Pirates of the Carribean 2)

well hollywood movies r good at special effects n technology part ... but bollywood movies have rhythm reverberating throughout ... n the plots n themes r really touching n teach us to get a bit sensitive to others ... to ppl on earth ... to all creatures ... to love the mysteries and beauties of nature n get an insight into the mysterious emotions n psychology of humans..
... actually both hav different significance ... n i dont feel it would b good enough to rate bollywood movies inferior ....

No they are pretty good. I have seen a couple on IFC Monsoon Wedding is my fav. They are as good as any Hollywood film but probably less of a budget.
The most famous movie from Bollywood is probably Karma Sutra a Tale of Love..Naveen Andrews of Lost fame is one of the main characters. Beautifully done, great love scenes, wonderful history & colors...

Bollywood movies are basically Indian musicals (at least all the ones with clips I saw) - they're wierd.
