My twins (who just turned one) sleep from 7:15 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. and generally take 2 naps a day (for 1.5 to 2 hours each nap). So it sounds right to me. My daughter (now three years old) had a similar schedule too when she was one year old.

Ours sleeps 9-10 hours per night and typically 2.5 to 4 hours at naps. I think this is a good range. Most other parants we know say thier children are about the same.

Sounds pretty good to me. You are a lucky mommy. Take advantage of the down time you get that so many of the rest of us can only dream of. From the mother of a 2 year old and a 6 m onth old. They like to sleep when the other is awake............ohhhhh how I wish I could have a nap.

Actually that is the perfect amount of time that a 1yr old should sleep. Mine sleeps 10-11hrs. at night and takes about 2 2hr naps during the day. Doc says it's perfect.

check with your pediatrician if you are worried about him sleeping too much... the naps sound ok but sleeping 12 hours at night sounds like a long time to me.. i wouldn't expect more than 8-10 hours, but if you have a very active baby when he is awake it could be that he is exhausting himself and really is tired at night. however if he isn't very active at all during his awake time, i would worry a little. put a call into your dr or nurse at the office and just ask what they think if you are concerned .

Sounds normal to me My son is 13 months old and is on about the exactly the same schedule. Enjoy your quiet times. My son is my fourth and all of my kids were different so there is a wide range of normal. So I say RIGHT ON!!!
