Yep, and they sure aren't fun, but, the accuracy is amazing, sooo, they're bearable for the chance that what they do can save your life.

I had an Open MRI and it still sucked. The only thing that is open are the sides. It looks like a big tin can with a small slice in the middle of it. The stupid technician didn't tell me to put my arms down either and he almost broke both of them when I when into the machine. Seriously, if I had to do it again, I would take a Valium first.

I had an mri on my knee 4 years ago, and I fell asleep. The techs gave me a headset and I was listening to music. When it ended, my foot fell into a deep sleep.

sure, I fell asleep interior the darned component... I had an exploded lumbar disk...yet by some means i grow to be comfortable sufficient to doze off... did no longer do the dye component.... the mri grow to be evidence sufficient. had to have a lamenectomy...and all went suited. in fact, it grow to be approximately 17 years in the past, and it isn't often i think of roughly it.

Yes. Very LOUD, very lengthy and uncomfortable. However, the results are very thorough and I'll bet you'll be glad that you went through with it, once you get your results. Good job, doing it, even though you were trepidatious. Be proud of yourself! Be well.

be glad you didnt have to have one about 17 years ago, i had to have one on my shoulder, they had to put a needle that was about 8 inches long in my shoulder and shoot dye in it. i would rather have one today any time than one like i had back then.
