Not very many places that give the discount even ask for the card...Hotels, especially...just if they give a AAA discount....most will not even check....if they do happen to ask, tell them you will bring it back...they will already have the rate set with the discount by the time you check out. I'd say this is relative to 95% of hotels.

why don't you get your own AAA card then you can get your own discount!!!! That way you aren't mooching off everyone else

Just ask for the discount... a lot of smaller hotels will give it to you just for asking and won't ask for your card.
