I do , but everyone I have spoken to about this - say I am silly and to get him to do it himself.
If I let him do it, there would be more creases and take longer.
Do you do it?? If so why?

I just got married last year and I had only ironed about 3 times in my life but I started ironing my husband´s shirts for him anyway. Now we help each other, sometimes I iron his clothes, sometimes he irons mine. It´s good to help each other out and not have either the husband or wife only doing one thing. I personally think that men should learn how to take care of themselves and do their own cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc. After all, what if something happened to you and your partner was all of the sudden on his own without a clue as to how to do the simplest things? Believe me, he´ll learn to iron fast!

It is your choice, I am sure he appreciates it very much. I am sure he does other stuff for you, like mow the lawn, take out the garbage. A relationship is about being able to give and take. If his ironing skills are not the best iron his clothes. I am all for sharing reponsibilites. You should never feel ashamed.... You go girl!!!!

Why are you listening to what other people say about you ironing your man's clothes? If it works for both of you then you should just keep doing it. If it bothers you then talk with him and come to a mutually agreeable decision but not based on what your friends think.

My wife irons my clothes for me, and I cook dinner and do the dishes for her. I hate laundry and ironing, she hates cooking and dishes...so we comprimised and its working gloriously.

Its a nice thing that you can do for your partner, and I am sure he will be doing a nice thing in return for you. Its ok to have roles in a family as long as there is a give and take between you and him.

Oh, and who cares what other people say about it, if you don't mind it, and it makes him happy, whats the problem?

Sometimes I do, he leaves alot earlier than me for work, and I have 2 extra hours to sleep before I have to go. So on those days when I stay over, I'll get up with him and while hes showering I iron. This way we have more time to play around before he leaves.::)

No - my husband does all the ironing for our household.

A few years ago, for Mother's Day, he promised to do all the ironing for us as long as he lives. It was the best present I ever got. I hate ironing.

He does a good job, too.

well it depends on who is better at it and faster. I don't know how to iron nor sew. My husband does, so he does it. and theres stuff that I can do better then him, so I will do those things. It's called give an take. If you like to do this and are better then him. So be it !! I 'm sure he appreciates it ..

I do only if we are going somewhere and I want him to look nice, or if were in a hurry. Otherwise I don't because hes a big boy. If I were you I wouldn't do it all the time. Come on your spoiling him ; )

If you like doing it, and he doesn't demand it or get mad when you don't have time to do it I say keep doing it. I deal with my husbands clothes (not ironing, just folding) because he just balls all of his stuff up and throws it where it goes. I think he represents me out there and if he looks good, he represents me well!
