Abreva works well as does prescriptions like Zovirax. I used to get them all the time....especially during the summer.....one 4th of July weekend, I had 4 at a time! About 8 months ago, i heard of L-lysine (a supplement) and bought some at the drugstore. It was maybe $3 for 90 pills. I have been taking one every night before I go to bed. I never thought it would work, but I haven't had one yet this year. Prevention is the best remedy.

Take and a acid reducer cold sores come from a lot of acid in your stomache or lick an asprin and put the asprin on your cold sore and it will go away if you do this it will take a couple of times

I try abreva but it's work for me after i try hemoform which is work great my cold sores completely remove.

abreva works great. actually all cold sores over the counter remedies work. i just rather use one as a gel than a wax tube. feels better and works just as good.

Abreva works! You get what you pay for, that's why it's so expensive! You can also try Carmex. Don't touch the area or it could get infected.

it works very well my mom uses it and my best friend does too the only thing is it is very expensive for a little tube which you can use only 1 or 2 times
