He is overrated. He will have a descent career with the cards as soon as kurt warner retires but he will never be a great QB.

ITs way to early to tell.......Probably won't know for some time. HE still has to get in there and learn the system. But just basing it off the Cards....Well the Cards aren't the best quality team to play for so they will need to build up a better O line or he won't get much accomplished and he will be hoping for a ride out of town to a better team..... Course that isn't a immediate thing since they have Warner still......My favorite QB Jake Plummer had a tough time there. ANd hes a great QB. The thing about football is you can be the best QB in the world but if you don't have the line to protect you and give you time then it doesn't matter how good you are . Only time will tell. So far my pick of Young, Leinart and Cutler is Cutler.....Cutler is wicked.

Next year for him. Leinert would have had a hard time breaking into the lineup as a rookie but he dealt himself out of any chance by his long holdout. The only chance to see Linert this year will be at mopup time late in a blowout game or if the Crads afall out of playoffs contention and they want to see what he can do in week 15 or 16.

He will no do good this season. He cannot throw down field that well. Edgerrin James will not have a good this year making Leinart throw more if he starts. He won't get used to the speed of the defenses in the NFL. It will take a year or two for Matt Leinart to do farily decent. Throughout the season they will play tough defenses like Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Denver. It will be a very long season for the entire team.

It depends on what kind of team he has around him and how quickly he grasps the offense and learns to read opposing defenses. He has two talented wideouts (Boldin and Fitzgerald), a big time back (Edgerrin James) but the line is a question mark. You can't make plays if you are always running for your life or getting knocked on your backside. Plus if Kurt Warner plays well and Cards are in contention you probably won't see him at all this year.

He well make his mark as a good passer, but with the holdout, he lost lots of time at practice and during the preseason game. Dennis Green put John Navare at second string and Matt at third just to prove that people who dont practice dont play.

I think Warner will be on a tight leash, plus he is prone to injury, when he get yanked Matt will play. I think with the RB, and WR's he has he will do really well. I hope we get to see him this year, and watch if he does. He'll put up some huge numbers, and him and fitgerald might be the next Payton/Harrison, Palmer/Johnson duo.

He'll probably struggle at first, but not for long. He's very polished and will certainly be living up to his potential before either Vince Young or Cutler if given the chance.

No clue--he is an unproven (yet very well paid) talent in the NFL. I think we should analyze his performance at the end of the year becuase only time will tell how good he really it. Success in college ball doesn't always translate to success in the pros.

he'll be great....not this year though. i think his first year they will bench him since Warner is doing good....and they'll let Leinert to get a feel for their system and to get in snyc with the recievers.
