no, I don't think he has. We need a good poacher, especially now Solskjaer's fit again, and he's one of the best in the world.
What happened was, he had a bust-up with Alex Ferguson and he tends to sell players that do that (cf. Beckham, Keane, Stam, etc.) We're going to miss him, I think.

I'd say yes. Alex Ferguson has a history of freezing out players and when he freezes you out your out. So his leaving was probably a better decision in the short term, also the team composition and chemistry was turning from using him as a sole conduit for their goals - Ferguson seems to be trying to go back to his earlier formula of play which does not favour an out and out striker such as Van, but a more all around type of player a la Wayne Rooney, Saha,. Players who can be nore versatile in their play and contribution. As good as Van is he really does tend to sit up top and wait for the ball. You can't do that in the premiereship any longer if you want to win.

I guess Real Madrid needed another striker since Ronaldo is recuperating from knee surgery, one among many. Maybe Ronaldo's days are counted and it's just a matter of time until Real puts him on the bench for good.
But you can't go wrong anyway by moving to Spain , especially from balmy, cold England.
