when you go to answer a question that says its been posted 2 seconds ago and click on it to try and be first it then says its been posted for 5 minutes.....and does anyone know why this is?

I have no idea. But I figured out a quicker way to answer, just submit a blank answer right away then you can edit and still be the first.

Would imagine it's todo with caching as Yahoo wouldn't want the software going to the database everytime

Same happens to me, even though it said be the first to answer this, I bet I'm like 10th down. Guess we're just slow typers!!

because the browser doesn't continually update - it only shows a snapshot at a point in time.

yep i have noticed that...maybe they r just a little slow on gettin the time in....dont know just a guess...lol...
