Obviously it's an ob/gyn, but do they ALL do this, or just certain ob/gyns?

I'm not asking because I'm considering having an abortion. I'm pro-life through and through. I'm asking out of curiousity. I'm really curious if the same person who would bring life into this world would also willingly take it. Doesn't it seem that it would be against the hippocratic oath to perform abortions?

Not all abortionists are ob/gyn's. The abortionist in my community is an D.O. (doctor of osteopathy), of all things! Generally speaking, abortionists tend to be the "washouts" of the medical profession. Many abortionists have had their licenses suspended at one time or another, or have been put on probation, or have had lawsuits brought against them. Many tend to be alcohol or drug abusers. I love it how people press their beliefs on you....when you didn't say anything about having an abortion! But anyway, I think it is certain OB/GYNs that perform them.

The ob/gyn can direct the person to the clinic in the area. I'm pro... choice I think. Without sounding to stupid, can you imagine the population in China right now if abortions were illegal? Damn, we would sink planet earth into the vortex of space.

Yes, any OB/GYN can perform them. Not all of them are WILLING to do it though.

I assume they are doctors certified in surgery, especially abortion. Ask your ob/gyn. Unless the doctor can show you certified documents that he can practice abortions then don't trust him/her.

If you OB/GYM does not perform them, then he/she can recommend a doctor or clinic in your area. I would ask your doctor for advice on where to go.
