Do NOT use those balls for ferrets!!! Ferrets are not rodents and don't belong in those things. They need to be allowed to run around in a large ferret proofed room for at least 4 hours a day. It's important that they get to run, jump, stretch out, explore, play, and interact with you. They can't do that in a stupid little ball. PLEASE return the ball and let your ferret out like he should be.

I completely agree with the above answer! I don't know why in the world you would even think of putting your ferret in a ball! That's absurd to me...like putting a cat in one, lol!
Your ferret falls asleep because being inside a run-about ball is boring!
Your ferret needs to run and play and jump and dig and tunnel and basically explore. Ferrets are extremely curious animals and they are also very social animals. I would imagine being separated from playing with you and your affection by a plastic ball would be seriously upsetting to your ferret.

I didn't even know they made balls for ferrets....um, yeah i guess i agree...put something in front of him/her...i wouldn't push her or force her to roll...dont want to upset her and get her scared of it.

Put something in front of him that he wants - like food. He'll try and walk forward to get it.
