...that concert and event tickets cost so much?

Comedian Bill Cosby is coming to my city, to a venue that holds about 200 people. The tickets are $48 and $65. A music concert at the outdoor pavilion is more than that. I just think that's ludicrous!

yes, I hate that. The sad thing is, if I really really want to see someone, I'd gladly pay it. The only thing that does is, it makes me think long and hard about whether or not I really want to see that person before I buy tickets. For instance, recently, we had 3 concerts in my area. I wanted to go to all three, but at $40 - $50 per ticket, I narrowed it down to one. The other two could have sold lots more tickets, and I could have seen three great shows if they weren't so darn greedy.

It does not bug me because I do not go to concerts. It bugs me that baseball games costs so much. I guess everyone has to make money somehow. After all, the money paid for a ticket doesn't just pay the person performing, but also the people behind the scenes too.

I work(ed) at a theatre selling tickets and people complain and got mad at me all the time for expensive tickets. I do think it's kind of silly to have to pay so much, but really, it wasn't my fault! I do know that a certain percent usually goes to the venue, but not a very big one.

the costs of everything continue to rise except the one the thing that doesn't rise is people's pay checks. people continue to make the same but the cost of eveything goes up. that's just outrageous in my book. why should any concert cost so much for tickets, i don't get it?

its simple supply and demand. If the prices were cheaper too many people would try to buy them and the venue can't hold that many.
