Seems many people are confused. I keep seeing the same thing. Terrorist=middle eastern, muslim. Immigrant=illegal, mexican. Do you fit into this category? Or do you realize that terrorism exists EVERYWHERE in EVERYBODY, and immigrants are from EVERYWHERE, and not always ILLEGAL? This is perhaps the reason it took a while to find Timothy McVeigh (they thought he was middle eastern, and brown) and the reason we are arresting teenagers from Ohio for buying cell phones (they were of middle eastern descent) and then letting them go for lack of evidence.

terrorists.....those that wish to dominate over a people through fear, not government

Immigrants, those that come to a country with their plans to make life better for themselves, and through the means acceptable by both countries

Geez, no need to yell! If you wish to place emphasis on a word, put it between two asterisks, *like this*.

The police and others have raised suspicion of Middle Easterners and Hispanic-looking people because they fit the history of terrorism and (recent) illegal immigration. It's not right, and needs to be corrected, but that's just how it is. Why do you think black people get pulled over so often? Because that's where drugs historically are.

Actually, Hispanics and Muslims interbred once, hundreds of years ago. But during the Inquisition the Muslims (and Jews) were driven from Spain. This might explain some of the similarities between the two groups, but not really. I think it's more likely that they look similar because they both have mongoloid (Asian-ish) blood in them, the Mexicans from native Americans and the middle easterners from Asia.

But I don't really know.

The reason it's like this is because our government doesn't know how to differentiate between illegal alien and legal immigrant and between terrorist nations and non-terrorist nations.

Fortunately there are some citizens on this country who can tell the difference and we need more of them to vote out incumbents in Washington.

Yes. I agree with you on this. People are confused and scared and looking to point the finger at anyone who remotely fit the description of the "terrorist" that the media has painted for them. It's creating more racism and hate. It's the cycle of never ending hate that feeds more terrorism.

I have to agree w/ dukalink.... just like Englands Traitors are our patriots, our terrorists are their hope. The governments arent doing anything about the illegal occupation, and people know and see this, so they take matters into their own hands to fight for their freedom to build a house on their own land, to survive without be slaughtered, to not be branded with identification cards that brand them as muslims. Call them what you want, they are doing what they think is right since no one else wishes to live up to it.

Stereotypes come from somewhere you know..... extremist Muslims are the ones that we are concerned with right now because that's who has been threatening us lately, and Mexico sends the most ILLEGAL immigrants here. That's where our stereotypes are coming from right now. Understand now? Good. Now go be PC somewhere else.

the pics I saw of the Ohio teens looked like white suburbanites

you're right on 'terrorist' and 'immigrant'; most people forget that, unless they're American Indian, they're descendants of immigrants

London and Saudi Arabia know about being attacked by terrorists as well, but both were by Arabs (I'm not being racist here, just stating facts)

when i here 'terrorist' i think of fear. i think of crashing planes, bombs, and tears. i dont think of a certain type of people. when i hear 'immigrant' i think of someone coming to our country to live in our country. i think of diversity and accents. i think of moving. i think of cultural diffusion. i do not think of illegal immigrants or a certain type of people.
i think that thinking anyone of middle eastern descent is a terrorist is wrong. it is a form of racism. i hate racism.
i think immigrants are great. they are what made our country. werent we all immigrants at one time, whether it was you or your great great great great uncle? of course it would be nice for all immigrants to speak clear english, or at least some english instead of just their language, but denying someone because of their heavy accent is wrong.
