A lady at work told me that smearing river mud on your body will get rid of freckles. Is this true?

Ahhh. Nope. There is a laser procedure that you can under go that will permanently remove them.
Ps I find them very cute on most women.

The answer is no, they are pretty much permanent. Freckles are created by pigment(what gives your skin color) that clumps together and can only get darker with sun exposer. Freckles can lighten with age, or if you have the money, lasers can zap em away! Maybe the gal ment that mud helps your skin tone meaning the look gets tighter, softer, shinier, and cleans your pores leaving your skin very fresh and clean. Mud is still really really good for your skin, even if it doesnt remove freckles.

Nope! Now I'm a freckled red-head and I know my freckles! When I was young, I HATED them! Now that I'm middle aged, I love them because they cover alot of the little wrinkles and give you a youthful 'fresh' look. Have you noticed all of the advertisements on TV with freckled women in them? My husband says he's very attracted to women with freckles (or "angel kisses" as he calls them), cause it's like a little follow-the-dot trail and it drives him crazy wondering where they end up! I would advise you to love yourself as you are; and stay out of the sun or at least use sunscreen all of the time! Then when you are my age, you'll be so happy you don't look like your tan friends...they'll be prunes! You'll still be that fresh-faced freckled gal/guy! (OH..they do fade quite a bit when you get older)...God Bless!

I think freckles are so pretty! I have always wanted them. But I don't think that smearing anything on your skin will get rid of them.

the mudd might hide your freckles, but it wont get rid of them. your freckles are part of your skin. unless you get some new outrageous plastic surgery done, you are stuck with your freckles. no big deal though, i love freckles.
