Ghost of You by My Chemical Romance(The video is sad)

Julia by Our Lady Peace(it's about this girl, that's a prostitute, and it just talks about her pain)

Al Genina(Leave The Light On) by Our Lady Peace(it's about the war going on, and how you want to come back home, and the differences between Canada, here, etc. and the 3world countries.)

Supernatural by Flyleaf(basically about a girl, a man, and a mom, about what pain they are in, and they want to give up on praying, but they still have faith, and they pray, even though, they don't survive, they want to thank God for another day.)

Dear Diary by Pink(It's about telling your secrets, and how your diary is the only one that can keep them. I don't know, I just can relate to it alot)

Burn The Evidence by Billy Talent(I have no idea, it's just really sad when I really listen to the words)

All These Things I Hate by Bullet For My Valentine(I really love the video, it's just really sad, but it is such a great song. Listen to the words.)

Telescope Eyes by Eisley( Just the lyrics, they are so deep, and the beginning just her voice, really goes with this song, and it's sounds like something you could play at a funeral, minus the drums.)

Who Knew by Pink(I love the video. And The song is just wonderful. It could make you depressed, or it could make you happy, really just depends)

Emily by From First To Last(beautiful, it's an amazing love song)

Amy Says by Flyleaf(I can relate to it alot, it just makes me sad)

Top most depressing song ever for me is Johnny Cash singing Nine Inch Nail's Hurt. Makes me cry everytime, but I can't stop listening to it.

Second would be Grace is Gone by Dave Matthews Band

Third is November Rain by Guns in Roses, shut up I like them.

Last Kiss by Pearl Jam.

Last Kiss is so depressing because it's about losing the love of your life in a tragic car accident...it's a catchy tune and an excellent song, with a romance movie/novel sort of feel if you will.

i'd ought to assert that once i'm unhappy I pay closer interest to the lyrics in songs than I do something else. yet, the songs I frequently take heed to even as i have self assurance that way have a tragic tone and unhappy lyrics... i imagine it is the tone and the mood that the singer and something else of the band convey into the the song that makes the song depressing.

Blue Eyes Blue by Eric Clapton is depressing because it's about lost/unrequited love.

U Got It Bad by Usher: it just is.

I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt: the title says it all

I Can't Tell You Why by The Eagles: Another one that just is.

There are tons out there though and I think a lot of people get the urge to listen to them because of their mood. Mood affects everything about you including what you might watch or what you might listen to.

"I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt. It is a song about unrequited love, which is something i know a lot of people, myself included, can relate to. It is very sad when you love someone and see what could have been, but they just don't feel the same way.

Stuff by The Smiths. Morrisey seemed to have a talent for finding depressing or bizarre song themes.

Adam's Song, by Blink 182. There are lots of downer songs, but that one comes to mind first. It's about a kid who commited suicide. And yes, I have listened to it on more than one occasion. Sometimes you're just in the mood for a "bummer" song.

Breath...by Breaking Benjamin!

....you take the breath right out of me.. left a hole where my heart should be...

If anyone has heard their new CD Phobia, track 3 always gets me thinking about a girl who I feel in love with but it didn't work out.
