well so far the only intelligible responses I've seen have been pro-DEM; anti-GOP

perhaps this in itsself is another reason to vote DEM instead of GOP in November - clarity of direction and progressivity (D) vs. more mis-d-Iraq-tion and smoke and mirrors (R)

Five years after 9/11, the Bush administration and Republican Led Congress has failed to keep us safe. Osama Bin Laden has still not been found, and it doesn't look like any one is trying to find him since we are now bogged down with the Iraq War fiasco.
The war in Iraq is diverting attention from Protecting America from real Terrorists, A sentiment the 9/11 Commission agrees with. now the war in Iraq has inflamed the whole Middle East and is helping Al Qaeda gather new recruits and sympathizers.
Katrina showed us all that the Republicans cannot protect us at home and seems not to care to protect us at home. The Republican led congress has not followed through on the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, and now the Republican political attacks during last weeks terror
threat are outrageous. The Republicans seem more interested in dirty politics than really doing anything constructive about the terrorist threat. The politics of doing nothing until something bad happens and then blaming your opponent is not working. We need real leadership with real solutions not the games we are currently getting from the Republicans.

You vote Dem because you already know how bad republicans run things. You vote Dem because the Dem's can't screw things up any more than they already are, and just might try new ways of doing business. The repubs in the house will only allow a vote in the house if they are sure the bill will pass and it's a bill the leadership approves of . This is not the way Dem's ran the house when they were in power. Any bill could make it to the floor much to a Dem's house leadership annoyance. This however allowed for a free flow of ideas free of partisan road blocks. In the senate the repubs are blocking any attempt to hold the administration accountable for it's many screw ups this allows bush to keep on making the same stupid mistakes. A divided gov't ie; one branch of gov't in one parties hands and another branch in another parties hands keeps the ideologues in check .

The reasons are the same for either party:
Vote Dem or Rep if want to support
1 fear tactics
2 big gov't
3 over spending
4hidden agendas
5 continued polarization of the citizens

There are OTHER choices. If we weren't so lazy that a majority of the vote only comes from 60 percent of the eligible populace, we might have the energy to look into other leaders!

Well, if you are happy with the direction the country is going and wish to stay the course, you go GOP.

If you feel that the president needs to be held more accountable for his actions, you vote DEM to compel the GOP to deal with the public honestly.

The best thing we can do in Nov. is to vote all lawyers and everyone holding office right now.......OUT!

Start/Vote another party and elect people who will listen to us.
Make them all live in apartments buildings together.
Put term limits into place.
No benefits except salary and medical while in office and SS when retired just like the rest of us.
$500. a day when in session!
Get out of UN........now!

Then start on the amendments to the Constitution and enforce the laws in force instead of trying to cover them up.

There really isn't a good reason to do so. The democrats are far too inclined to appease, which simply won't work with the current world situation. During a time of war, we need a president who has some strength, and is not afraid of the poll numbers.

Actually, there is no good reason to vote Democrat instead of GOP in ANY election. Not in my opinion.

They have no policy that I can justify supporting.
