Well, what they did wa scombine two fears that many people have. I, for one, am scared to death of snakes, not so much planes though. Maybe venomous snakes are not as harmless as you think. Did you know that back in Roman times, they would fill up pots with venomous snakes and launch them onto other ships? It worked too. I'm sure that plenty of it was just the people being scared of the snakes...hey, that sounds like it'd be a good prequel to snakes on a plane, snakes on a ship...there it is...

Thanks for the input. This is indeed a good question, but I still wouldn't waste the money to see the movie. And I certainly wouldn't risk my life to save a snake on a plane. I'd kill it fast that you can say "Snakes on a Plane" if I had the chance. They can be very deadly if not in trained hands... and the only thing my hands are trained to do when it comes to deadly snakes... is kill them before they kill me.
Nice snake-y...

im not wasting my money on that movie. How in the world would someone manage to put all those snakes on a plane? let alone, just one.
Samuel L Jackson has been making too many movies ranked 1 in the scale 1-4.

The movie is going to kick ***... you're probably right they'd find some place dark and warm to hide... however... the name, the concept (its more a tongue in cheek action movie because it's so rediculous) and the fact that Samuel L. is gonna say "There are Snakes on my mutha f'ing plane!" is gonna make it work... not to mention it's already got a cult following.

You know, I doubt the moive is propaganda against snakes. I think it was made primarily to have Samuel L. Jackson delivering the now infamous line: "We've got mother f@%#ing snakes on this mother f%$#ing plane." It just makes sense.

The snakes on the plane attacked because they sprayed pheromone on the flowers that the passengers were wearing, which made them attracted to them. That's why they attacked.

Actually it is based on a true story but they softened it for public consumption. This one time I flew on a plane my boyfriend told me there was a snake in the bathroom and we went in there and there was this MASSIVE trouser snake and I tried to eat it and it finally fell asleep and I saved the day. The end.

You're right. They wouldn't go bothering people... well they might sit calmly in somebody's lap under a blanket if they were sleeping, since it's warm, but I doubt that even. Snakes don't like people and avoid them when they can.
