A hispeed DSL/cable connection. and a router.
You can get a DSL router with wireless capabilities to connect to internet ....eg. a Netgear product like i'm using DG834G router.
Else get a Dsl modem seperately and connect the LAN out cable to a wireless access device...(a Wireless point) .

For hardware, you just need the wireless router because the adapter is already part of your notebook computer. You also need Browser software like Firefox or Internet Explorer.

If you already have a built-in wireless NIC (Network Interface Card or Ethernet Card) then all you really need is a Wireless Router and you're pretty much set... Oh and of course, internet connection through ISP.

Your computer should detect available networks automatically. You can click the icon down by the time in the bottom right corner to see networks. You need the router password if the router requires one. If you're at Starbucks or McD's or if your neighbor's router is not encrypted then you're all set!

You only need a DSL/Cable modem, wireless router and the ISP to provide you the service. You've got the stuff you need for your client already.

*IF* you're asking what you need to connect to the internet wirelessly, you'll need a computer with a wireless router that is connected to the internet or a "wireless hotspot"

If your area is coverd by any ISP's wireless connection, just go there and ask for an access account. They may ask you for your wireless card's ID. Thanks
