Reading some of your questions and answers and as I read them I have noticed a thumbs down on very good answers people leave. What is the sense of a thumbs down on these people if you don't get points for it anyway? Makes no sense to me as I pick the answer to my questions I think is the right one. What do you feel about this system ? I enjoy reading all the answers , bad or good?

It's a strange way to rate abuse when there is an abuse button right below the question. Don't ya think that is what it's for?

Wow, that's a really good question! Actually, I agree with you! People should be way nicer to the people that give good questions or answers.

Just a difference of opinion. People are entitled to think what they want, and if they don't like the answer, or feel that it's wrong or stupid, then the answers rating system is there for them to be able to say that with a thumbs down. I don't get why we don't get points for it anyway...

a bunch of people are just bored and bitter. I just ignore it. There are plenty of good answers out there whether or not some crazy yahoo gave it a thumbs down!

Yeah, there's no point in having that there. And on the "Best Answers" people just randomly pick an answer to get points...they don't actually read through all the answers...

They let you rate it if you think it is abuse. Enough thumbsdown might get it inspected by yahoo! police I think. Also if you are a hateful person you can rate down people, and show your opinion of things. You don't do everything just for the points you know.

It's just a way for people to vent when they disagree with the answer. It has about as much meaning and substance as the points.

I've never bothered to read any of the answers to my questions, I enjoy reading and responding to other people's questions.

If I don't like the answer or agree with it I will give it a thumbs down. If I like it I will give it a thumbs up...same with the question.
It's like a poll. How many people agree with your answer.

People are just pissed because they didn't think of the good answer first. I like reading all of them too!
