Why is it songs make you sad ?

some songs make you see the error of your ways. some songs make you see the error of "his" ways. and some songs pick you up and remind you that it aint the end and tomorrow will come.

Misery came first, and a sad song makes you sad because the writer/performer wrote/performs it in such a way as to touch your heart. And when a song makes you sad, it won't be long until another song plays that will cheer you back up!

the misery came first that's where most people get their lyrics from, sad thoughts couple of chords backing vocals drums and there is the music. songs make you sad cause they bring back sad memories and you think about it espicially the ones with lyrics that are about how you feel or what you do(i.e stand out in the rain So no one sees me cryin' Trying to wash away the pain-Bon Jovi the lyrics are something you can relate to)

MISERY CAME FIRST. THATS WHERE MOST FOLK GET THEY SONGS FROM, LIKE WHEN WE HAD THOSE WARS, THEN THE BEATLES N EVERYBODY STARTED SINGING ABOUT IT. OR LIKE WHEN AIDS CAME OUT OR SOMETHING N MICHAEL JACKSON CAME OUT WIT THAT SONG "WE R THE WORLD" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. OR WHEN SOMEBODY'S BEEN HEART BROKEN AND THEY SING A SONG ABOUT GETTING HURT (R &B) OR WHEN U LOST UR HOME N EVERYTHING (THAT CREATED BLUES), OR WHEN U ROSE OUT FROM THE GHETTO (RAP)... SO YEAH, THERES A CAUSE N A EFFECT. SOMETHING HAPPENS, SOMEONE SINGS ABOUT IT,... (17 YR OLD AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE)..PEACE OUT
