There are two 'standard' types of logarithms: Natural logs (written ln and based on the number e ≈ 2.7182) and common logs, (which are written log and based on 10)
Any number x (x>0) can be written as
x = a^b (where a>0 and -∞
The 'antilog' is the base raised to the power of the logarithm given. For example; What is the common antilog of 1.5?
10^1.5 = (10^1)^.5 = √10 = 3.16227+
It's usually a *lot* easier to use a calculator.

None of the above answers are correct.
The logarithm of 4 (to base 10) is 0.602. The antilog of 0.602 is 4. This is all that log and antilog means. Logarithm is the process of forming an exponent and antilogarithm is the reverse process. i.e.
4 = 10^0.602
The logarithm of 4 is 0.602.
The antilogarithm of 0.602 is 4.
Trust me - I should know. In my day we had to use log tables (no calculators). We would form the mantissa and characteristic of each logarithm. If 0.602 is the logarithm, 0 is the characteristic and 602 is the mantissa.

for example
the antilog of log base ten is simply to raise 10 to whatever power you have,
for example
antilog ( 5) =10^5
now,if you want the antilog of log base e, or natural log, then you have to raise e to whatever number you have,

antiln (4)=e^4

10^x (ten to the xth power)
or e^x (e to the xth power for natural antilogarithms)
log(a)
all a logarithm is asking is ten to what power equals a, and that's what log(a) equals.
antilog(a) is 10^a, and you have to figure that out.
