People do realize that all of these "proofs" that 1=0 or 2+2=5 are all either misguided or intended to be comical, right? Has anyone failed to recognize that virtually all of these types of pseudo-proofs involve dividing or multiplying by zero, which makes them invalid?

Yeah, but it's of little value in the Ultimate Reality. When we think it makes sense, it's only because we are deluding ourselves with individuality and separation between objects.

In fact, nothing can ever be equal to anything else for any length of time. And to say it was equal to itself for an instant in time is a moot point.

It is impossible for anything NOT to have an effect on anything else, isn't it? Therefore there is no way to define just what the 2 objects are, let alone add them to another 2 objects and get the idea that there are 4 things altogether. That is just downright delusional, yet we do it everyday, because our very sense of conscious individuality is an illusion from which we have a very hard time escaping while still being ourselves.

I think you'd be well off going around the country speaking at high schools. Algebra's great, but any class that tries to teach you that 1=0 needs to realize that it's honesly making a mistake somehow.

I usually pull those 1=2 questions out whenever a party starts to dwindle. I'm telling you, the results are incredible. Keg stands, vodka chugs, girls dancing on tables, the guy from girls gone wild showing up, it all happens the instant you slap a 1=2 equation on the drink splattered table.

Is there really even a question in there? The only people who don't realize that there are faults with those problems are the ones who don't understand math.
