what is the car life expectancy for a 97 Ford Escort wagon? how many miles?

(car is serviced & kept up, oil changed regularly, timing & serpentine belts have been replaced recently...it's around 145,000 mi now)

it depends... your motor should make a quarter million miles, your transmission however will not last that long, unless you get a good tranny cooler. without one i would say 100,000 to 175,000 max

To the moon if it has proper service. @250,000 start looking for another car.
