The movie was ok. I absolutely hate Nick Cage. He is one of worst actors in Hollywood. He reminds of Keanu Reeves in the fact that he plays the same type of character in every movie and has the monotone, lifeless voice. I cringe just thinking of him.

City of Angels is an American version (not literaly a remake) of two fantastic films by Wim Wenders: 'Wings of Desire' (1989) and it's sequel 'Far Away, So Close' (1993) Both winners at Cannes festival, you may want to check out the originals.
'Wings of Desire' tends to be a bit slow but it is very emotional and gives you the background story for 'Far Away, So Close' which is more entertaining.

Yes, many times, it was very good.
BUT if you liked the theme of City of Angels - see Wings of Desire and Far Away, So Close both Wim Wender movies - as City of Angels was loosely based on Wings of Desire.

I didnt really like it. Im not a fan of Meg Ryan, I hate her expressions when she is 'acting'. She always looks like she trying too hard

Really good movie and very moving especially the ending. It really had a good story line and was believable.

oh man a long time ago. I liked the movie, but the ending killed it! I was soooo sad :(

i have watched it and loved the ending, i hate it when they always feel like they have to go with the typical Hollywood ending.
