Will it be too expensive? How about St. Petersburg ?

Many of them do.
Price range can be very big (from the ruble equivalent of $ 20 per day to $ 25 per hour). In my case I found it was cheaper to use an Internet cafe next door. I won't be surprized that some Western chains have it for free.

Although I haven't been to St. Petersburg recently, I would imagine that getting an Internet access is as easy as in Moscow.

Oh, I forgot to mention that some places might have only Russian Windows. I hope it's not a problem

Hotel Sovietsky had free Internet access when I was there in 04. I had to ask for help to switch from Russian to English. If the Hotel you stay at charges for Internet service make sure you know the cost before you start because its easy to get riped off.

I was in hotel "Izmajlovo" in Moscow about 1 month ago. There is the possibility in every hotel to launch internet from your room (dial up), but hotels charge more, than general providers. You can also use internet-cafees in every "star" hotel, prices vary from 0.50 to 3 usd per the hour.

Internet Cardechka. Internet Cards. They sell them at every kiosk and small store. It's dial-up access and totally anonymous and cheap. Every town runs their own internet card system. Many Hotels also have internet access. Commonly it's a dialup number within the hotel. You have to have your room activated to dial in (like openning your phones for long distance). I stayed at the Novotel across from Sheremetyevo quite a lot and they used a dialup from within the hotel.
