What could it be if one of your eyes dilates?? Is it severe? Has this happened to anyone?

It could be very serious if one pupil dilates and the other does not. It could be a stroke. You should see your doctor.

Have you used any eye drops in that eye? Many eye drops (visine) have trace amounts of the chemical used to dilate pupils for eye exams and can commonly cause this to occur. If not and it continues call your eye doctor and explain what is happening. It could be as serious as a tumor so it is something you need to have checked if it continues.

is it only one eye?... it can be normal that one pupil is larger than the other... however it's context specific... if your pupils have always been equal before and you now notice a difference... please see you doctor... it can be nothing but it could be indicative of serious neurological injury... especially if this occurs after a head injury

This happened to me and it was from me touching a chemical and then rubbing my eye.
i would wait before seeking medical help unless you are having stroke symptoms which are weakness on one side of the body face drooping on one side slurred speech blured vision.
My hospital bill was 900.00 just for them to tell me i would be just fine.
If your going to go seek medical help then go to your primary doctor first..

This is a common sign of a concussion. Have you hit your head recently or anything like that??
