i love payton, piper i would be afraid of all the nicknames, not to mention the nursery rhyme peter piper good luck though

I like the name Piper. Yes do agree with one of the above statements, it does remind me of Piper from the tv show Charmed but that is because it is my favorite show and she is my favorite character. But you also have to keep in mind. Not everyone has seen that shoe and when your daughter grows up that show won't be around. Besides the name Piper was around long before the show was ever creatid and i'm sure that if anyone goes though every tv show, movie, or song ever played they will find pretty much every name possible and you will always find someone that thinks a name reminds them of something. As for Payton I like it but it's a better name for a boy. If you aren't agianst naming your kids alike you could name your girl piper and if you have a boy name him payton. that would be cute. Congrats and have fun picking names.

I think both names are very cute! If I was making the decision I would choose Piper over Payton. Payton has become pretty popular for both boys & girls. I like uncommon names. I think Piper is really really cute for a little girl.

i think piper is adorable payton is okay it just doesn't sound too feminine payton would definitely be good for a boy! both names have their own cuteness and style and im definitely all for names that very few people have my first daughters name is Aubrey Brianna and my unborn daughters name is Addison Leigh

I think that Piper reminds me to much of the WB show Charmed and my nephews name is Payton so I think that is to much of a boys name. Sorry.
Good luck with the name thing though.

Absolutely Adore Payton, Piper makes me think about the Song and I wouldn't want kids teasing my kid with that song!!! (well that or plumbing , either way NOT GOOD)

I love the name Piper. My sister was going to name her daughter that but she chose Maddison Piper instead.

They are both pretty but I can see Payton causing problems with kids making fun of her name....

They are nice names, but way too overused these days. You don't want your daughter to have the same name as 10 other kids in her class. There is a reason why names like that are trendy...everyone is using them.
