Its absolutely safe .I work with an airline based in UAE and passengers travelling form here have no hassles whatsoever, as stated in previous messages , restrict your cabin baggage, and donot carry liquids /metallic objects , except for keys which are permissible .

My man travels frequently from UK to UAE no problems he has business here too so theres no problems as far as hes told me

yes its safe my brother is there now, make sure you don't Cary any liquids or makeup or perfume with you try not to carry bags to the plane with you just check every thing in.... have fun

just beware that in airport the checking takes lots of time u wont be having trouble other than waisting your time in the airport
