Yes I can but i've grown custom to it so most of the times I don't.

My bf does the same thing! At first it annoyed me, I was taught that eating is a time where you talk about what you did during the day. On the other side, he taught me that how can he talk when his mouth is full. Now I'm used to it and it's not that bad.

we eat dinner as a family 5 nights a week. the other 2 are with the t.v.

Of course, what do you do when you go to a restaurant? They have no papers or TVs.

Have you ever been out to eat. I rarely if ever have seen someone in a restaurant reading or watching TV.

Anyone CAN but many nowadays choose not to...typically I'm watching tv during meals...perhaps piddling on the computer...

If my family is not home,I will read or watch t.v.,but if everyone is home we like to eat together and talk about our day.

um yes i do it all the time.........Everybody does when they go out to eat...... they spend time with there familys and not there Tv / ipod/ computer/book/paper u get the picture !!+

Yes. I have dinner every evening with my family and we have good conversations at that time. It helps the family bond.
