I get this pop up for an add on, on pretty much every web site i go to, that says "The Quicktime Control Allows you to view a wide ..." from Apple Computer, Inc. (unverified publisher)" If you trust this, then blah blah, click here blah blah. I'm pretty sure if I install it it'd be malware or a virus. I'm even getting this on sites that don't have a video! I've heard of ActiveX controls some times being malware or viruses, so I don't wanna install it without hearing what you have to say. And if it is bad, how can I stop it from popping up? I have anti-virus, anti-spyware/adware, and anti-malware scanners on my computer.

it's not a pop up, it's an activex control.

Provided you have current, up to date, anti-virus running, i would install it. I have had no problems with the QuickTime plugin. It is used for many things, as it says, and is harmless.
