the most complex melody is made from five notes(when it exists)the most complex rhythm is made from one beat.the number of human involved is less than two.the number of repeats tends to infinity.what makes my 171/2 years old son listening to it 24 hours a day 7 days a week?

You haven't actually listed what it is that your son listens to. Do you even know the names of the bands? Because if you are that uninvolved in the music, and are only going to critisize what you don't like about it then you will never understand what your sons sees in it. Maybe what he sees, is that you don't like it at all, and that is what drives him to listen to more.

The music industry and corportations are controlling music.. All the kids around me just accept things as is. The only way your son will ever break through this crap is to introduce him to the best music....beatles, hollies, zombies, zeppelin, 60's and 70's stuff. Basically anything before disco....hopefully he will see things for what they are with his own two ears...he might not like it though because it's too late. He'll probably say its a matter of taste and opinion which is obviously B.S in this case.

First, kids these days want to have there own, different music. Second, all the good music has already been done.

Maybe because you haven't introduced him to the greatest music of all time....SOUTHERN ROCK! Get him some Lynyrd Skynyrd and that should correct your issue :)
