"Deserve" is the wrong word to use. The question really should be, "Is it warranted?" They only get all that attention because people want to give it to them. In our society of media and money, those who "deserve" media attention are the ones who can keep it for any length of time.

Jeez guys relax.
Actors are just a part of our society.
It's not that big a deal.
Some people are movie buffs...other aren't...like you guys.
And it's only natural for people to pay so much attention to their favorite actors. I see nothing wrong with it. It's not your obligation to watch them...it's your choice.
And you guys think showbiz is so easy. It's a savage battle to the top. So I think they deserve the recognition. I've been in the business so I know what i'm talking about. It's not easy. Unless you have tried yourself you have no right to be slandering the people to do.
People don't recognize "true" heroes because they aren't the ones put on the big screen and t.v. How can people appreciate someone if they don't even know who they are???
Why would people want to PAY to see average everyday people living their lives? They'd rather pay to see an elaborate,well thought out, amazing movie. I don't see a problem with that. It's their choice how they spend their money.
And guys...QUIT BLAMING THE ACTORS!!!
They are just acting...it's YOU that turns them in to the "heroes."
It is not their intent to star in a movie just to become someone's role model.
And as for them making so much money...how come you're not complaining about sports players. They get paid just as much (if not more) than most actors, and all they do is PLAY a sport. Just like they did on the cul-de-sac when they were 12.
And as for actors being "just like us." They're not. They're outgoing, persistent, confident people. If they had the skills to make it to the position they're in...they're not just average people.
My point is entertainment is a HUGE part of people's lives. People want to have fun while they're alive...not go to the hospital and worship doctors. People want to have FUN.

Key word...you HEARD. You didn't SEE.
Quit buying in to rumors.

Of course they don't deserve it. There are millions of people in this world who work just as hard (if not considerably harder) than celebrities and will never receive even a tiny fraction of their pay, attention, or admiration. And yet, despite the fact that celebrities clearly don't deserve all of this, we continue to give them attention - we buy the tabloids, we watch the interviews, we pay outrageous prices to see their movies or listen to their music or even just to win a peice of their clothing off Ebay. It's really our own fault.

No. their people, just like us, why should they get more attention than the rest of us? If I were to have a baby, nobody would give a crap except for the people I'm close to, so why does everybody care when a celeb baby is born? Its stupid. Just because they have more money, nicer (and bigger) houses, better (and alot of the time custom made) cars......etc. they get more attention, its stupid and shallow!

No..especially the ones that speak out against the President and his "rich friends". Yet the actor makes millions per movie, and yet gives very very little to charities. Kind of hypocritical.

no they are regularly people that happen to be on tv all the time they dont deserve or probally even want all the attention. i wouldnt want someone chasing me around town trying to get a picture of my new husband or baby

I don't think they do. I think it's kind of sad that they will get millions and millions of dollars for acting in a movie just for our entertainment while a doctor (or nurse) who actually saves someone's life will get a small fraction of that.
