No, I prefer to do my "Crip Walk"!

I used to, but think twice about now. DC had several pedestrian deaths, mostly due to pedestrian error.
It's better to walk the short distance to a corner than take a risk (of either injury OR a ticket!)
Plus, kids riding in cars may see you. YOu are a role model whether you want to be or not.
Always defer to safety!

of course! Who is gonna walk down to the corner where the stop sign or streetlight is and then walk back to the middle of the block where they really need to be?
