Well, I think the idea is that now the Ravens will be able to field an offense, which has been the knock on the team for a few years now. Great overworked defense with no offense to back it up. However, I agree with you that if McNair has to take much punishment it could be a very long year indeed.
Besides I lost a lot of respect for McNair when he refused to be a mentor for Vince Young. Apparently Steve McNair has forgotten how much help and coddling he got when brought into the league.

Wouldn't say the Ravens are a powerhouse with McNair but that is the one major area they've been lacking in. Now will McNair fill that void? Much more so that Boller ever did or could. Baltimore will still live and die by that D of theirs....will it be back to a dominating status? We'll see.

That's a good question. McNair is but a band-aid to hide Baltimore's inherent weaknesses with. I don't think he'll last long...their line isn't what it once was and McNair doesn't take the hits well anymore...well, his body doesn't at least...

He's the type of player and leader that could improve a team even if he never took the field. He inspires.
He also plays well healthy or hurt.
And he's going to be throwing to a receiver (Mason) he's already comfortable with.
And the ravens sucked before, so anything is an improvement.

They have a talented QB true enough, but their offense still sucks and until they become of a threat on offense and do something with that offensive line they will be just another team that misses the playoffs. They have to hurdle Cincinnatti and Pittsburgh and until the offense improves that may be a challenge itself.

Not a clue!! He didn't do much in Tenn.(except get hurt) & now he'll be facing an extremely fast, aggressive "D" twice a season in the Steelers. He won't finish the season intact.

Your guess is as good as mine. I can't stand the team especially Ray Lewis. Growing up in Lakeland, Florida he was a thug and will aways be a thug.

Please remember what the QBs in Baltimore have been recently. No matter how bad you think McNair is, he's not Kyle Boller.
