most sharks are in the ocean { salt water } I think the bull head has been known to go in fresh but needs to get back to the salt water....cant live in the fresh that is...

Well considering that the st johns empties into the Atlantic at jacksonville, and the water as far as green cove springs is brackish... I would say... Yes there are sharks in the st johns river at Jacksonville fl.

There could be sharks in there (it is part of the intra-coastal, right?) but it is unlikely. Sharks don't usually swim that close to shore and the water isn't quite right. So, if there are sharks they are going to be the smaller varieties not like Jaws or something!

howdy there! I hail from Watertown and would assure you the seashores alongside the St. Lawrence are freed from sharks. although river sharks would surely make issues greater exciting...

LOL actually yes, there are. Although they rarely venture for very long into the fresh water - they stay mainly in the brackish water areas (half salt/half fresh).
