I haven't noticed any benefits. I didn't know I could rate.
I have noticed that Yahoo has a link that says "Answers Swag". It's really not much at all.

With the new upgrades to the site the only real benefits are that you can ask, answer and vote more frequently. But when it was the way that you could only rate best answers you could rate more at level 3 too. But yeah, the new rating system seems kind of dumb to be honest because you don't get points for it now.
