Feminists do not have the ability to stop Islam. Islam has been for thousands of years, and will continue.

The real reason nothing official is being done is because women are a minority amongst our elected officials.
I have no doubt that if the USA had a female president and a female majority in the Congress, that the basic human rights of females in Islamic countries would not be ignored by the American government.
(Haha, imagine if the Islamic sexism were reversed, and it was the guys who had to cover their faces and not leave the house without female escort and drop out of school at age nine. Do you think the Bush administration and current congress would be looking the other way?!?)
All the guys who say it is men's nature to protect women should go have a talk with our current admin about their failure to do so in the Islamic-run nations.

This is a GREAT question. The answer is because as liberals they're supposed to be "tolerant" of the Islamic culture and of course, they hate America and Christianity.
Now, of course because this mistreatment of women exists, they simply go into a state of denial, or sweep it under the rug. It's easy to overlook the faults of your friends, and it's only white Christian men they complain about.
