Saltwater fish prefer an alkaline pH of 8.0 or above. Freshwater fish thrive at the neutral to acid end of the spectrum between 5.5 and 7.5. pH is not static, it changes over time - in fact it even changes over the course of a day. Typically it drops at night and rises during the day. pH changes as new fish are added or removed, as water is added or changed, and as the biological processes change in the tank. Preferred pH
There is no "normal" pH that applies to all fish. Because fish originate in ponds, rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans that have different pH levels, their needs are different.

Fish are very tricky. Yes, they definitly die! When I was younger, and I turned on the fishtank lite, all my fish, either in or out of the tank were dead. I'm not kidding. It was terrible. The ph stuff has to be 100% percent perfect or else the fish are going to start swimming like their retarded. It may sound funny , but it's not. It takes a lot of work and knowledge about the ph stuff to make a beautiful, live, exhibit. Good Luck!

once you clean your tank, do you thoroughly take the tank down, empty the water, rinse each and every thing, and set each and every thing up back? in case you do, it incredibly isn't needed. Get a gravel vacuum cleanser on the fish save. Use that to siphon out debris and water right into a bucket. whilst the bucket is finished, pour that away or use it to water flowers. top off the bucket with clean water, making specific the temperature is a similar via fact the tank. Slowly fill the tank with the hot water. removing fish waste is incredibly considerable. It keeps the ambience risk-free for fish. yet cleansing the completed tank makes the fish stress out. possibly as quickly as each and every week, take the sponge situation out and rinse it under working water, squeezing out grimy stuff till dirt is all long previous. Then placed the sponge back into clear out. by utilising the way, do you depart the sunshine on lots? that stands out as the reason for the brown algae. i'd use the sunshine much less hours or some hours at nighttime. wish this permits. stable success.
