Where outside the US?
T Mobile is over in Europe.
If you just want to use it for basic calling functions you might be able to have it unlocked. The Sidekick3 was designed and programmed to run ONLY on the T Mobile networks. You'll likely run into problems trying to use it with another carrier.

yes, you have to call tmobile and tell them u need ur phone set to world phone they will help u from there
