Well it depends on what kind of metal you are referencing...
Thrash= Megadeath
Club scene= Guns & Roses
Hair= Motley Crue
Mainstream= Metallica
Mixture= Anthrax
My personal favorite depends on my mood.... Most of the time I go to G&R!!

Depends what type of metal hair metal or regular metal.
Hair Metal has to go between Poison
but actual metal man thats hard to decide

Now ask me which child I love more....some choices would be AC/DC, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Poison and many many more......You have hair metal, heavy metal, glam metal........so many different types of metal to choose from

If your wanting a more maistream 80's band, it would have to be motley crue hands down.... if you want REAL Heavy metal, it would have to be METALLICA. (granted I'm a lil pissed at them now for the whole anti-piracy tyrade they had some years back!)
