All colleges require an SAT or ACT score to determine whether or not you're college material.

Most Colleges do require the SAT, if you have never attended college. But, if you have attended any college (One Class) then the Transcript is all you need and you not required to take the SAT. Remember this, a friend took the SAT, she had raised her children and never been to college. She scored high on the SAT and received a full Scholarship it did not cost her much to go to college. So, the SAT can be worth the money, unless you already qualify for a scholarship. DO NOT BORROW MONEY for college!!!! Student Loans a way to get you in Debt before you ever finish school. Try to obtain other sources of funds.

SATs are not always required. Community colleges do not require SAT scores. I highly recommend attending a community college to ease back into formal education. Most have programs geared toward returning students.

If you do want to go directly into a 4 year college look into any programs they may have for returning adults, continuing education or working adult etc. Often times these programs do not require SATs. They typically have special advisors that will take your experience into account when deciding your application. They may also require you take some prep classes before you can matriculate.

Most colleges do require SATs. Check with their admissions departments.

However, most community colleges do not require SATs. And once you have an Associates Degree, you won't need the SAT in order to apply to any 4-year school.

im starting school (college) at the end of the month. while in high school (4yrs ago) i never took the sats or acts. When I signed up for college, all I had to do was take a placement test to see where they should start me accedemically. Contact the school and they can help you with any questions.
