Nah, I lived in the States for like 4 years, then I moved to the Middle East and saw all this crap on the news that wasn't ever/ or wouldn't ever be shown there. I know enough to realize that things may be left out, be blown out of proportion and be biased.

No. The decisions regarding what to report, how to report it, and the act itself of reporting all help to determine what gets spun up and what gets no attention. Those decisions are made by people concerned with making money. Period. What we see is slanted, half-truths and sensationalist.
