I would like to see Dave Chappelle play Rick James. BUT I already know nobody would take it seriously and they would think of it being a comedy instead of a biography. I think he could pull it off though.

Those aren't the first singer bio-film these to are GREAT also.
The Buddy Holly Story (1978) is a great biography with a super performance from Gary Busey. Busey did his own singing for this film and he does a great job.
Coal Miner's Daughter (1980)
I don't care for country music, but I simply love this movie based on the life of country singer legend Loretta Lynn. The film is a great rags-to-riches soap-opera, an effervescence showbiz melodrama and a penetrating character study, all rolled into one superb movie. I will go as far as to say that this is one of the best bio-pics ever made. Thomas Rickman's script brilliantly touches all the bases, without ever making the story feel rushed. Sissy Spacek (as Lynn) gives one of the greatest performances of the 1980s. It is an uncannily accurate portrayal. If you know anything about Lynn, you will realize that Spacek does capture the essence of the subject matter. Spacek achieves her spot on characterization without ever looking as if she was merely doing an impersonation. It does help that she sings the songs herself (Spacek could have been a successful country music singer!). Tommy Lee Jones is almost as good in the role of Doo, Lynn's husband. Berverly D'Angelo steals a few scenes as Patsy Cline (she also uses her own voice). Director Apted deserves some credit for maintaining the story focused, and for avoiding any self-indulgent artistic touches. Ralf D. Bode's cinematography is a big plus. After all these years, still one of the best of its kind. Highly Recommended!
I also heard there are 2 Janis Joplin Bio pics coming out one called Piece Of My Heart with Renée Zellweger as Janis that should be interesting. And Joplin The Movie with Laura Theodore never heard of her.

i think jennifer aniston needs to be in a good *** movie. i love her and shes such a good person. She's a great actress and she needs to break out. Not a romance though...it needs to be funny yet serious and make a good strong point. She'd be great with that!

That is a good question, I really have no idea, but another good movie like those to see would be "Beyond the Sea" its about Bobby Darin.
You probably havn't heard of him, but the movie is good and so is his music.
Just give it a try. Enjoy!

Wow...very good question.
I'm not a fan of him, but someone should make a movie about Bono and the human rights aspect of his career.

Tommy Davidson should play Sammy Davis, Jr. because he looks so much like him and is equally talented.
