When I take them off, I have to immediately wash my feet. That is how bad those sandals smell!! I don't have that problem with any other of my shoes.

I have had to do several things like that.
Try leaving them in a protected place outside
And the sun seems to help
because the sun itself cures things
And I am thinking it will also
allow those sandals to pull forth
the smell and eventually go away for
the most part of it
And if they are dark sandals
just let them get rained on
then allow them to air dry away from the sun
but if you decide to try the sun
make sure they are not wet
Otherwise get rid of them but not b4 you
experiment with them
So you will know what to do for
the smell of strong leather

I wash my husband's Birkenstocks with a toothbrush and baking soda. Make sure the sandals are completely dry before you use them again.

Maybe seal them in some sort of plastic container with newspaper. The carbon in the newsprint absorbs odors...

Wash them with Lysol or toss them in the trash...
