It should take no longer than 28 days to get back to you however when you get it back check the details because there have been numerous cases of people getting there licence back with catergaries missing e.g. full driving entitlement has dissapeared nothing you can do to get it back except sit your driving test again but if you don't check and you continue to drive you commit an offence hope it doesn't happen to you no find out if it's being proccessed then try and find a ordernary land line no as the 1 they give you is premium rate

Wait a bit longer it should arrive soon,but if you do want to contact them don't bother trying to phone them i waited over 30 minutes and i was left on hold on a premium rate line! Did you know that the DVLA makes £3 million profit out of it ,so i would do it by post its easier and cheaper!

When I gave in my mates before for change of address I gave it to the visitors reception area lunch time Weds and he had it back Fri morn in the post.

Some are back within the week, others can take 4 weeks.
If not back in 4 weeks, contact them.

Sometimes it takes a while, but if you think they've lost it, then the best thing to do would be to email them or phone them, and check whats happened to it.
